Inspired by Boston's Storrow Drive, this sign is based on the hanging "CARS ONLY" signs located at on-ramps to Storrow Drive. This is the sign that your moving truck will hit when getting on Storrow Drive today, tomorrow, or any other day, to warn you you're headed for a collision with a bridge(s) that will shear the top off your truck like it's a tuna can.
This is a solid wood version of the actual "CARS ONLY" sign, and is perfect for keeping moving trucks out of your home and bedroom, or for making people duck when going through a doorway. It can be wall-mounted, or hung from chains for that true Storrow feel. Note that these signs are brand new and not distressed. For a more accurately-weathered version, you'll need to slam this against the top of an overheight truck for a couple dozen years.
Sign measures 24" wide, 5-1/2" high, and 3/4" thick. It's made of solid poplar wood, and available in the following options:
1.) HANGING VERSION: comes with two chains approximately 6" long each, and two screw hooks for mounting (along with two hooks installed in the top of the sign). Hooks can be attached in multiple ways, including to the door jamb (as pictured) or face-mounted to the top of the door casing.
2.) WALL-MOUNT VERSION: comes with two keyhole mounting slots on the rear of the sign for hanging on two screws (two screws and drywall anchors are included, in case needed).
3.) COMBINED VERSION (+$5): comes with both the hanging hardware, and the keyhole wall-mount slots on the back of the sign (described in both Option 1 and 2 above).
